DUCTED OR VENTED UNIT 

PART OF THE UNIT IS OUTSIDE, WITH THE INSIDE UNIT HIDDEN IN MULTIPLE WAYS, FROM INSTALLED BEHIND STUD WALLS, IN LOFT EAVES, IN CEILING SPACE OR UNDER SUSPENDED FLOORS.

Frequently asked questions

  • How long does an air con unit take to install?
    Generally this process will take a day. However, if the pipework needs to take a more challenging route between your indoor unit and exterior unit, this may take a second day to finish up.
  • Can we have two or more rooms with A/C and just one exterior unit.
    This is a common question and the short answer is YES! However, the exterior unit will need to be sufficiently powerful to power the number of inside A/C units.
  • Do we need to prepare anything ourselves prior to installation?
    There are a number of things to help prepare. Below are a few we can answer now. 1. First it is always a requirement to have a qualified electrician to install an exterior power supply for A/C. 2. The area where the internal and external units will be installed will need to be cleared (both wall and floor space). 3. If the piping between the exterior and interior units needs to be installed through attic space or a wall, these area will need to be cleared to allow an installer to have easy access.
  • Will it be cheaper to install two internal units with one external unit instead of two external units?
    Generally the answer is no. The cost will be around the same. For example, the power of an external unit needs to match the power of the internal A/C unit. In the case of two or more internal A/C unit, the external unit will need to be able to produce around twice the power for two internal units, or three times the power for three internal units. With the increase of power needed from the external unit, the price of the external unit increases by the same factor.
